Sheffield Sustainable Kitchens is a local, friendly business.  We design, supply and fit a range of high quality bespoke kitchens at reasonable prices in and around Sheffield.

We pride ourselves on providing a high quality product that will last for many years and still look great. Why buy a kitchen that will need replacing a few years down the line?  We will work with you to create the best kitchen design for your needs.

Sheffield Sustainable Kitchens works hard to give you a personalised service, designing kitchens which are practical to use, from incorporating different height worktops to designing bespoke open shelving for oils and spices which you want to have on hand.  We pride ourselves on our quality workmanship.  When fitting wooden surfaces, we apply high quality finishes with care and attention, leaving our customers with a better finished product which will require less work from our customers to maintain them.

We have developed a full project management service working with a team of highly skilled and experienced trades-people, including electrics, gas, building,  plumbing and tiling.  We can provide various floor covers, including hard-wearing, practical Marmoleum flooring; a natural product that comes in many beautiful colours.  When it comes to appliances we are a registered Miele dealer.  We tend to recommend Caple, Bosch or Miele as good value appliances which are reliable and energy efficient.

Our environmental impact

We do everything we can to keep our environmental impact as low as possible.  We now use locally sourced timber in some of our kitchens.  We only use sustainably-sourced FSC (or equivalent) timber and have a range of sustainable products such as recycled glass worktops and splash-backs, bamboo worktops and solid wood worktops.  (We can also supply high quality granite, Corian, and other quartz and acrylic based worktops on request).

We’ve recently started working with local craftsman Finbar Lucas of Fink Furniture to provide our new locally crafted range, a range of locally sourced and crafted Beech and Ash doors and solid wood-based cabinets.  See below for more details.

Our standard range (high recycled content)

All of our standard range cabinets are based on a high quality 95%-98% recycled MFC material.  They are 18mm thick including the backs and are glue and doweled together.  They come in a wide range of finishes to match up with our door range.  They provide a solid basis for our kitchens.  We have a large range of door options in traditional and contemporary styles.  These cabinets are guaranteed for 15 years and will usually last much longer.

We supply many solid wood shaker doors, from the simple to the ornate in both painted and a range of wood finishes.  The beauty of a painted finish is that it can be re-painted in the future to give a new look and feel to a space, without the need to replace anything.

We supply a range of contemporary styled doors in high gloss and wood veneer finishes; from low cost vinyl doors through to high quality painted lacquer finishes in a whole range of colours.  Many of these styles are available with handle-less options.  We also supply vinyl-lipped doors from the same recycled material in which our cabinets are produced.

For worktops, options include recycled glass, bamboo and a range of solid wood.  We can also provide high quality melamine, Corian, Granite, and a range of acrylic and quartz based materials.

Our Locally Crafted range (high local content)

We’ve recently teamed up with Finbar Lucas of Fink Furniture in order to provide a new range of doors and cabinets.  The range consists of solid wood Ash and Beech doors made from locally grown timber, these come in either wood or painted finish.  These doors can be teamed up with our standard cabinet range, or with bespoke carcases finished to match.

We also offer bespoke shelving, home offices, wardrobes etc from a range of materials to suit your tastes and budget.
